IB AND BEYOND: University futures and how best to get there

Whether you are starting the IB Diploma Program next year or you are now midway, this event is for you and your parents.
Melissa Jakobsen, founder of the Catalyse Learning Centre and an experienced mathematics and science tutor, will present her five rules for success in the IB. These include tips on course selection and how to get the best possible grades.
Focusing on IB diploma students heading to universities in Switzerland, the UK, Europe, and North America, Marilyn will present an overview of the information parents and students need to understand and consider while they navigate these decisions.

Marilyn Stelzner has advised students and parents on university admissions since 2006, starting at a high school in California. Since arriving in the Lausanne area in 2009, she provides strategic consulting on a one-to-one basis for students applying to bachelor programs in Europe and North America. Marilyn has a certificate in College Counseling from UCLA and is a UCAS-trained international adviser. She is a member of the Overseas Association of College Admissions Counseling (OACAC), the National Association of College Admissions Counseling (NACAC), and the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA). Marilyn continuously monitors news about university systems and trends in higher education, attends professional conferences and trainings, and visits universities.
